bohemian thursdays

Explored Mill Road in Cambridge with Sanni, who's staying at mine for the last week. My friends gave her the nickname Bacon, no clue why to be honest. It was a lovely day, but way too hot for what I was wearing, but I didn't really care to be honest. We went to a very lovely coffee shop, where I unfortunately forgot to take pictures. Don't really know what to write to be honest, so I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

How to spend a very rainy morning when you don't have school anymore:
- eat breakfast while watching youtube videos
- have an awesome cup of tea
- make a youtube video
-blog about it

tuesday blues.

So, I'm officially done with A-levels! I'm happy that I managed to get through all of my subjects with grace, even music. To 'celebrate' the start of holidays, me and Nana went on a rather rainy trip to Cambridge. Honestly, ever since exams ended it's just been raining and raining and raining.
Anyway, to mark the end of an era called British school I went to get my smiley piercing back. I must say, it actually hurt this time around. I remember not even feeling the needle go through when I had it done back in 2011, but I suppose the scar tissue that formed from the last time made it harder for the needle to get through. I also picked up a pair of creepers from new look and 'Peter Parker' glasses. Maybe I'll pretend I'm an undercover superhero when wearing these glasses, haha.

from the ritz to the rubble.

Last Monday I went to a BBQ in St Ives with a few friends. It was a lovely day. The sun was shining and the birds were singing etc. you know, a perfect summer day. It was around 25 degrees I think, so t-shirt weather. We bought loads of chicken that we put on the grill. Sadly, I don't seem to have any pictures of the actual food. Ah well, maybe next time I'll snap some pictures of that too. I always forget to take pictures, as I'm one of those people who prefer to live in the moment rather than spending time capturing it. I'm not going to write a huge novel about that day, as it'd probably be boring to read. I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves (:

I want that lovely weather back right now, although it'd probably affect the quality of my revising for exams which are next Monday. Probably won't be blogging before then, scared I might fail music..

T-shirts

Went into Ark in Cambridge yesterday not thinking I'd buy anything. I always go in there and most of the time I end up getting nothing, as the fit of the stuff is usually a bit dodgy on me. However, this time I spotted these two t-shirts. I've been wanting a cropped neon tie-dye t-shirt for ages now, and finally I found the perfect one! The Live Fast tee wasn't a planned purchase, I just saw it in the sale racks and thought it looked really cool. Can't wait for it to be t-shirt weather. I love t-shirts.
I also splurged on some cosmetics at boots, mac and lush. Post about that next week.

I'm off running now, have a lovely Sunday or whatever day it is when you read this!

I'll forgive and forget, before I'm paralyzed

A quick view of my room, which I usually spend my lazy Sundays in. Somehow, I've managed to keep it sort of tidy throughout the weekend. I've got no plans for today, which usually means I'll stay in and play the guitar, write stuff and maybe even do some revision. I really should learn my lines for drama and I probably will during the day, as it's the only school subject I enjoy at the moment. Everything else is just boring, ah well.
Enjoy the pictures, you'll probably never see a massive amount like this again over here (:

happy is a state of mind.

I have now got my computer back, but I've kind of forgotten how to do this.. blogging I mean. So I just thought I'd do the 7 random facts about me tag that's been going around almost every social media site, including blogspot. Maybe you'll learn something new about me. Even you, daddy. Yes, I know you're reading this ;)

1. I have one nightmare that keeps re-occurring every now and then.
It's very simple. No monsters, catastrophes or anything like that at all. It's just me in an empty space falling and very slowly catching speed. Right before I hit the ground I wake up and slam hard on my bed. Maybe I levitate whilst asleep?

2. I like the smell of thrift stores, basements, old buildings etc.
I don't know why, but there's something to that old smell that I like. I'm weird.

3. I like to consider myself an artist
I've done art since I was around 2 years old. It's been an escape route to expressing emotions since as far as I can remember. I also do music. I play the guitar, sing and write songs. I enjoy writing poetry, short stories and sometimes longer stories that turn into novels.

4. I write to the desk drawer
As much as I love writing stories and novels, I've never showed more than two people my work. Therefore it is all stored in a folder on my computer called "desk drawer", because a regular desk drawer is not confidential enough for me.

5. I'm a daydreamer
My thoughts just tend to drift away into other dimensions. Sometimes this might happen when you talk to me and you'll have to repeat what you've just said. I'm sorry if I doze off during a long story of yours, don't take it personally!

6. I love coffee shops
There's just something about the atmosphere of coffee shops that I find very calming. I like to take the bus to Cambridge early in the morning, bring my poetry notebook with me and go sit in a nice, independent coffee shop(or starbucks) just listening to jazzy music that's usually playing on the radio and drinking Chai Tea Latte... I live for mornings like that. Coffee shops are also one of the things me and my friends enjoy to do in the evening.

7. I can't wait to turn 18
I can finally go to every concert and festival, travel alone, get tattoos etc. stuff I've been wanting to do for ages! Ps. driving a car isn't one of them. I don't like cars. They frighten me.

I don't know if this post was interesting at all for you to read, but I sure hope so! If you want more posts like these(tags n stuff like 'what's in my handbag') just leave a comment. Or would you like more daily diary type posts with lots of pictures? Or maybe outfit of the day posts? I don't know, I'm a bit lost. As I said, I've forgotten how to blog, haha!

baker street.

Pictures from a pub on Baker Street that me and my family visited before we went to the Sherlock Holmes museum. To be honest, I think the pub was a better place to be than the museum itself(wasn't really impressed by that.. might rant about it in a later post).
As a big fan of vintage and retro stuff, I found the interior design of the pub really nice and cozy. There was kind of like a warm feel to it. Hard to explain. A really nice place to go for a coffee/pint/whatever with friends or family ((---:

Tate.

I think Tate modern is my favorite place to get lost in. I swear I could wander around there for hours without getting tired. Note to self: wear comfier shoes next time, as new Dr. Martens aren't really known for being gentle on your feet the first couple of months you wear them.
Went to see both of the special exhibitions during the Christmas holidays. Klein + Moriyama was a fantastic photography exhibition with pictures from the street life of New York and Tokyo. I enjoyed that a lot, as I found myself getting lost in the photos. The other exhibition was called A Bigger Splash. Let's just say it wasn't my kind of art, but still worth checking out.

I definitely see myself as someone, who will visit Tate regularly...

christmas lights, another fight.

And I'm back again! Sorry for the long silence, I need to start updating more frequently. It's just that when it gets dark quickly, it's hard to take nice pictures. And I don't really feel like updating my blog if I don't have any pictures to post.

Anyway, a while ago I went to Cambridge with Nana to do some shopping and catching up. We hadn't seen each other for a long while, so we had loads to talk about. I'd seen this lovely looking cafe the other day, so we decided to check it out. They happened to also have food there! And not just food, lovely food. We both ended up having tomato soup and hummus. Yum. Gonna do that again Friday, probably!

The Christmas lights were really, really pretty! I don't know why, but I really like Christmas lights..
