Lately I've been having a lot of wishes, small and big ones. I thought some of you might be interested in reading a post like this, and I hope it doesn't make me seem like a superficial person. Then again, most of my wishes aren't found to be materialistic or wanting certain things, so I guess that rules out the judgement.
Traveling.
I know I just came back from my exchange year, but I'm hungry to see new streets, turn new corners and watch a whole new world around me again. It's been a while, and I'm getting bored of being settled. I've been browsing different cities, what to do, what to see and such: Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm. I wish I could just pack my bag with clothes and a camera and leave, but I guess it's not that simple. Especially not now that school's started again.
Anyway, me and some friends have been planning a trip to London or somewhere for New Years. Hoping that it'll happen, it is something I'm greatly looking forward to.
Then, maybe something classified more as aspiring rather than wishing.
Dancing.
I want to be good at it again. I feel like it's something I left behind a bit too hasty, and I find myself regretting it now that my skills have gone down noticeably. Right now I'm doing Contemporary and Lyrical Hiphop at the same dance school I used to go to. Funny enough, the owner of the place remembered me. Made me feel sentimental in a way, and wanting to do my best this semester. Who knows, maybe I'll be dancing in the front rows at this years exhibition?

Not much left of warmer weathers.

I was offered the opportunity to play a gig at TELMU's Flying Carpet stage at a small local festival called Musapiknik. I invited a few friends to come along and chill with me throughout the day, as I wanted to support all the other artists playing. I didn't have much of an audience, so I didn't want the rest to be in the same awkward situation playing for close to no one.

That day, I was dealing with quite a lot of personal issues and I was worried that the songs in my setlist would trigger some sort of emotions. However, everything went pretty smooth.
So, there's not much left of the summer anymore. Actually, I'm taking the bus to school in about 15 minutes. It feels like the summer hasn't lasted long enough and I wish I could re-live certain moments of it. I think it's pretty safe to say that 2013 summer has been the best one so far.
I also have my first band-practice today, and I think I might blog about it later... unless the guys are enormously shy and don't want to be shown on the blog(which I highly doubt, as band members).

Those late summer nights
So I wen't thrifting for the first time in a while. I was quite surprised of the prices people had put on their used clothing. Attention thrift sellers in Turku, no smart person pays more than 5 euros of something that's been used before..
Another thing which annoys me is missing price tags. I found the prettiest skirt ever, acid wash denim pencil skirt. Haven't seen loads of them around at all. But because it didn't have a price tag, I couldn't buy it.
Got a lot of stuff on my mind at the moment. Gonna go spend a girls night with a friend.
Have a nice one !

this one's for you.
So, I finally decided to break the more than too long silence over here. I'm in the middle of a Breaking Bad episode and eating rye-nachos so I'll try to make this a quick one.
Earlier today I went out with some friends to have a small photoshoot. We ended up at an old prison called Kakola. Sadly, we noticed that all the entrances had been solidly locked and there was no way we could actually have entered the building. So that kinda sucked. It was still fun though. I think we had more of a laugh than took good pictures...
I've been working on a lot of projects lately. I've written a lot of my original music, I now have enough to play a 45 minute set of completely my own material. The music of this post is my own, probably one of my best works. You can find me on soundcloud under the name melna morning. I've been painting and doodling a lot, which I intend to tell you more about in a future post. I also discovered my love for poetry a couple months ago, and I haven't stopped writing since. My poetry is way too personal to be published anywhere though, I only show some to my closest friends.
Anyway, I'm going to get back to Breaking Bad now!
Good night, muchachos
