I know places we can go, dear.

Been finding so much lovely stuff at flea markets lately, the weathers been nice and I've had nothing to do which sometimes feels wonderful. Went to an abandoned house to take pictures, such a haunting environment. Found the way to enter one of the houses, but chickened out on actually going inside. We had no flashlights, and it seemed pitch black in there. Maybe next time. 

a look inside my sketchbook

A little look inside my sketchbook. No super exciting works, as these are only doodles I make whenever I'm bored and not usually planned. Whenever I create, I don't tend to have a plan on what the artwork is going to be. I guess I just let my mind wander and usually something pretty random comes out of it.

My favorite medium, as you probably can see is just ink on paper. However, when I feel like it I also do acrylic paintings. That rarely happens though, as I don't always have canvases laying around to paint on. pen and paper is just so much less effort, yet equally pleasing to the eye in my opinion.

I don't have a lot of finished works. This is because I have a hard time working on a piece for a long time. I'm one of the people who enjoy the process of creation more than the actual finished piece, so therefore I tend to start a new sketch before I've even finished the old one...

On a random note, I just dyed my hair dark brown, a few pictures below.

 I cannot describe with words how happy I am about my new hair! For once, the hairdresser actually listened to me and did exactly what I wanted. I've thought about going ginger for quite a while now, and I finally took the jump and became a redhead!

My exchange year starts tomorrow. I'm so excited about it! Can't wait to meet new people and experience new environments(and go shopping....) Right now I'm doing some last minute packing, but I wanted to update my blog one last time here in Finland. Next time I'll be updating from England.

Found this awesome knit while thrifting the other day. I honestly might thing it's the best thing I've ever bought at a thrift-store. It might not be everyones cup of tea, though. I don't have any proper outfit pics, sadly...

On another note, I GOT SKYRIM! Finally! Been waiting for ages that  it'd be on sale, and now it was only 29,90e at Anttila. Based on the little I've played now, I'd say it's a hard yet fantastic game. The graphics are great, and the landscape.. oh, how beautiful. The only problem I have with it is the "look around"-thing. I'm used to looking around World of Warcraft style, so looking around by simply moving the mouse is still quite hard for me. Also, attacking with swords or axes, I don't get it. Bows and magic is pretty easy, so I guess I'll stick to them.

Enough with the nerd talk! I hope any of the above made sense..

pressure and time

I'm the master of procrastination, seriously. Instead of reading to exams I decided to photoshop a picture of me with orange/pink hair. What do you think, should I go for it or not? Yay or nay?


Anyway, I'm struggling to finish two essays that are due to tomorrow. One is a review of the theater-show Fucking Kaarina, the other a book report on Juoksuhaudantie. I'm almost done with the review, but I have no idea what to write about the book. I mean, I actually did read it and it was OK, but I have no idea how to explain it to other people. I guess I'll just have to write something and then start studying for exam week that starts TOMORROW!


Also, it's finally summer! Yay!

Before the rush comes kickin’ in

 Basically what I've been up to the past few days. Moaning over my long lost hair, I mean, THIS will take forever to fix. Also, addictedly overused and abused instagram, which is probably my favorite app. I don't have the best phone-camera though, sorry for that. I'm just not always in the mood of carrying a heavy DSLR with me.


So yeah.. Been drinking lots of tea, since my throat is kinda soar. I hope I'm not getting sick, since we have exam weeks coming up...

hearts a mess

Wow, today has been the busiest day ever...

I woke up and did my morning routine on time, but somehow I managed to miss the bus I usually take to school. I wasn't late though, I made it there on time. After school I had my hairdressers-appointment at a salon called Pop In. I hadn't been there before, so I was very nervous. The service was great, and I'm sure they're all good at what they do but GOD, HOW I HATE HATE HATE MY HAIR! Not the way I wanted it at all. It basically looks like I have very dark roots in blonde hair. Also, I was in a hurry to leave from there, since I had a job interview. The hairdresser didn't have time to make any nice haircut, which I'm kinda sad about. Anyways, the interview went well, I think. I also did some shopping today, I'll do a haul soon.

I tried out straight hair today. I have naturally curly/wavy hair, so I don't even bother to straighten my hair every morning. I kinda like how this looks, though. My hair looks so much longer like this! Even my mom said that I look nice, haha. I also tried out a new eyemakeup-style. Any thoughts about it? I kinda like it, though I don't know if it's something that I'd wear every day.

And I got my phone back! Which means.... *drum roll*  INSTAGRAM ♥

I had a fun time yesterday, today I felt like crap but I kept it together and it was allright. Well, now I'm trying to do all the school work that has gathered in piles while I've been absent for school. Oh well, this little break was pretty chill, and I really needed it..

Recently, I've been feeling very down. I don't know if it's just the regular fall/winter-depression, but I've felt so alone that I can't describe it. I probably won't try either, 'cause I think no one's intrested in that anyway.. I'm just in need of some love.. sparks to my life. Oh well, no can do. Maybe if I lost 7kg? Oon nyt kolmatta päivää kipeänä. Kuumetta, kurkku kipeä, nuha, yskä.. eli perus flunssa siis. En yleensä ole kipeenä, mutta tänä vuonna flunssaepidemia sai mutkin kynsiinsä. On siis ollut paljon vapaa-aikaa..

Koitin tänään kaikenlaisia kampauksia ja hiustyylejä, mutta enpäs laita niitä kaikkia tänne vielä tänään. Ajattelin, että ripottelen näitä pitkin kuukautta :''D Tässä olis siis tällanen gyaru-inspiroitu side-buns systeemi, mitäs pidätte?

Mun pitäis kai pian alkaa lukemaan bilsankokeisiin... sen sijan fiilistelen Lykke Lin tahtiin ja katselen _erittäin viihdyttäviä youtube-videoita..

So I'm sick for the third day straight now.. Exhausting, but I'm actually kinda glad since this has been exactly the break I've needed! I have a fever that makes my muscles ache, a soar throat, a running nose and a cough. The basic flu! I usually don't get sick, I have a killer body that resist all flu-epidemias! Not this time though... So, since being sick is also really boring I decided to entertain myself with trying some new hairstyles! But I'm not going to show you them all yet. I was thinking of spreading them a bit in the posts :--D This one is a gyaru-inspired side-buns look, which I'm really pleased with. It actually did work with shoulder length hair! I should start reading for the exam week, but instead I'm listening to Lykke Li and having a one man pity party! And also watching _very entertaining youtube-videos!

Today is the opening of Turku 2011. I'll go there with some of my friends. I've heard there is going to be acrobatics, circus, fireworks and a choir of 350 people!! It's going to be exciting. It would be perfect if it wasn't so cold outside.. -16 degrees celsius..
