I was offered the opportunity to play a gig at TELMU's Flying Carpet stage at a small local festival called Musapiknik. I invited a few friends to come along and chill with me throughout the day, as I wanted to support all the other artists playing. I didn't have much of an audience, so I didn't want the rest to be in the same awkward situation playing for close to no one. 

That day, I was dealing with quite a lot of personal issues and I was worried that the songs in my setlist would trigger some sort of emotions. However, everything went pretty smooth. 

So, there's not much left of the summer anymore. Actually, I'm taking the bus to school in about 15 minutes. It feels like the summer hasn't lasted long enough and I wish I could re-live certain moments of it. I think it's pretty safe to say that 2013 summer has been the best one so far. 

I also have my first band-practice today, and I think I might blog about it later... unless the guys are enormously shy and don't want to be shown on the blog(which I highly doubt, as band members).

I returned from my exchange a couple of weeks back. I can't recall announcing that here, so consider this the official announcement. Being back is a weird thing. In a way, I'm happy to see everyone and going out in my home city. Another part of me misses England and the friends I have made over the year. I repeat, it's a weird thing. You can't fully understand it unless you've been there yourself.

Anyway, the past week or so I've had a lot of time to spend on my own. I felt like I needed a bit of a break from my very hectic homecoming-life. This break is kinda the reason why I don't have any proper material to show you. Instead of making one of those classic blogposts about my life, I thought I'd make a collage of things I'd really like to own at the moment. I just realized that all of these are more or less Fall/Winter items... Whoopsie... ah well

On a side-note: It's way too hot here in Finland! About +35 degrees or so at daytime. I feel like I'm melting, even if it's past midnight! also, my arms and legs are itchy from mosquito bites.. darn you mosquitos!

And I'm back again! Sorry for the long silence, I need to start updating more frequently. It's just that when it gets dark quickly, it's hard to take nice pictures. And I don't really feel like updating my blog if I don't have any pictures to post.

Anyway, a while ago I went to Cambridge with Nana to do some shopping and catching up. We hadn't seen each other for a long while, so we had loads to talk about. I'd seen this lovely looking cafe the other day, so we decided to check it out. They happened to also have food there! And not just food, lovely food. We both ended up having tomato soup and hummus. Yum. Gonna do that again Friday, probably! 

The Christmas lights were really, really pretty! I don't know why, but I really like Christmas lights..

Feels like it's been a while since last time.. Sorry about that! I don't really have any excuse for not blogging. It's not lack of creativity, quite the opposite. I've been spending all the free-time I have while not working on painting, making music etc. Summer keeps me inspired, all though it's been really rainy and not too warm, so I don't know what kind of summer this is supposed to be. I think I'll be doing some sort of art-post very soon. Leave a comment below if you're interested in seeing some of my work and/or work in progress, will you?

Above are some pictures from my trip to Gdansk. I didn't take too many pictures there, which is kind of sad, as the city was very beautiful. We stayed in the center of the old city. All those colorful, old buildings made me fall in love with that town(as well as the cheap coffee..) I'll probably end up traveling there again sometime.

I just wanted to tell you that I've started to make music again. Like for reals, and not just once in a while. This time I'm going to stick to it, and upload videos more frequently to my youtube-channel. I guess I finally realized that if I ever want to actually make a career out of it, I'll have to start working my butt off!

she woke up a morning, felt alone in this world

I tried out straight hair today. I have naturally curly/wavy hair, so I don't even bother to straighten my hair every morning. I kinda like how this looks, though. My hair looks so much longer like this! Even my mom said that I look nice, haha. I also tried out a new eyemakeup-style. Any thoughts about it? I kinda like it, though I don't know if it's something that I'd wear every day.

And I got my phone back! Which means.... *drum roll*  INSTAGRAM ♥

While browsing the bands that are going to be playing at Ruisrock 2012, I found these guys! "Ewert and the two dragons" is a really awesome band from Estonia. Goes on my favorite list, yup! I randomly picked some songs for you, I hope you enjoy! I would've linked the song "All Rise" too, but I couldn't find it on youtube :c

Musiikkipostaus.

En oikeastaan tiedä, kuinka monta tällanen edes kiinnostaa, mutta kirjotanpahan kuitenkin. Näin etukäteen sanon, että teen tämän koska mulla ei ole mitään uusia kuvia näytettävänä teille.. Jossain vaiheessa tätä viikkoa yritän tehdä jotain mielenkiintoista. Musta on tullu ihan hirveen laiska näin lukion alun jälkeen..

Ja nyt seis tekosyyt ja ASIAAN! Mulla oli tällanen idea, että esittelisin teille mun tämänhetkisiä lempibändejä. Niitä toki on paljon enemmän kun tässä, mutta yritin pitää listan mahd. lyhyenä, jottei kukaan kyllästyisi ! PS. joissain englanninkielisissä teksteissä on asioita, joita ei ole suomenkielisissä.. niin vain tuppasi tapahtumaan hå hå håå

So I don't really know if anyone's too interested in this, but I guess I'll still do it. I don't have any pictures to post, or anything to write about so I'll do this to at least post something! On to the point.. I got the idea of showing you which bands are my favorites atm. I have loads of favorite bands, but I tried to narrow it down't to just a few. These are in no order! I like them all equally!

Eli Mumford and Sons. Mulle aika uusi tuttavuus. Itseasiassa aloin kuunnella kyseistä bändiä vasta joskus pari kuukautta(jos sitäkään) sitten. Pakko sanoa, että tykkään ihan hirveästi. Melodiat on mahtavia, samoin lyriikat. Kaikki vaan jotenkin kolahtaa tosi hyvin yhteen (ps. banjo on kiva soitin)

So, first we have Mumford and Sons, which I found just recently(maybe 1 or 2 months ago). I just have to say, I like their music a lot! The melodies are awesome, and the lyrics seem to be given a lot of thought to.. Everything just goes hand in hand pretty well.. (oh and allu ps. oh man is a guinea pig...)

Maroon 5 on bändi, josta olen aina pitänyt. Pienenä tuli kuunneltua paljon mm. this lovea ja sunday morningia, ja kuuntelen yhä edelleen. En oikeastaan osaa sanoa, miksi pidän maroon 5:sta niin paljon. Onkohan se laulajan ääni? (ei vaan laulajan über-seksikkyys... jk)(mut on se aika hottis..)

Maroon 5, I've always liked that band. When I was little, I listened to This love and Sunday Morning a lot(I still do!). I don't know why I like this band so much.. Maybe it's the voice of the singer, which by the way is that type of voice you either love or hate.. (and he's super hot.. haha)

Muse on ollut mun lempibändi nyt vähän yli vuoden. Pakko sanoa, että rakastan näiden heppujen musiikkia yli kaiken. Soundissa on jotain niin uniikkia, ettei sitä oikein voi kuvailla.. Valitsin ton map of the problematiquen tuohon, koska se on mulle tosi tärkeä biisi. Kuuntelen sitä yleensä, jos on paha olla. Siinä on jotain rauhottavaa(ja nyt suurin osa pitää mua hulluna, koska kuinkakohan monen mielestä toi on rauhottava..) ja turvallista...

Muse has been my favorite band for over a year now. I simply love their music, and there's nothing that could change that.. There's something so unique with their sound, that I can't describe it with words.. I chose map of the problematique, because it's an important song to me. I always listen to it, when I'm not on my best. It makes me feel calm(haha, I bet not many would feel the same about that song) and safe..

Oon kuunnellut Coldplayta niin kauan kuin muistan musiikkia kuunnelleeni. Se tulee olemaan yksi lempibändeistäni ikuisesti.. Ihailen suuresti Chris Martinia, nerokas heppu.. Coldplayn musiikki on kaunista, ja se saa tunteet pinnalle. Vielä jonain päivänä ajattelin mennä niiden keikalle, todellakin!

I've been listening to Coldplay since forever. It will probably be on my favorite bands list forever. I admire Chris Martin a lot. Coldplays music is truly beautiful, and it makes me feel happy, sad and sometimes even love! I'd love to see a coldplay show someday. I want to see the awesomeness in real life! (And also, I have a secret dream about doing a feat. song with them, but I guess that'll never happen..)

The Kooks on kanssa tällainen "uusi tuttavuus". Tällainen musiikki iskee muhun, ja se iskee kovaa :''D Tykkään ton aksentista ihan hirmusti! Nämä kaksi biisiä nyt ovat niitä, joita olen eniten heiltä kuunnellut. Molempia yritän hienosti opetella soittamaan, ja seasidesta tulee vielä joskus Kelsey-coveri!

The Kooks is also one of the bands, that I've just recently started to listen to. I find their music very catchy.. I actually find almost all good indie rock-ish music kinda catchy! These two songs are my favorites from The Kooks.. I'm trying to learn them both, and maybe you'll see some covers coming up!

And now my feet won't touch the ground

I've realized that vacation is over pretty soon. It's been a good summer, at least I think so. About a week ago I biked with Minni to ruissalo beach. We got lost a few times, but we still had fun though!

Also, today has been a great day. I've been able to enjoy great coffee, good music and good company the whole day. This makes me feel happier than what I've been for a long time.

But I believe in the enemy ♥

Hello hello!

Have you noticed the changes I've made around here? NEW LAYOUT! ♥

I kinda like it like this, it's so much more simple.. Less is more.. I also added a few things to my side bar, I hope you like it as much as I do.. I guess it'll tell a bit more about who I am, too..

Last Sunday, 20.03-2011, I went to see My Chemical Romance live concert at Hartwall in Helsinki. I had the best company ever, Aya of course, with me and I must say it was the best day of my life ! And I got Toro's plectrum too ♥

What I wore on that day; A minnie mouse costume!

The crowd amazed me, though I've seen more people(f.ex. Green Day)

We had the best group of people to spend the 7 hours of waiting with ♥ Because I'm horrible with names, I only remember Tepa, Noora and Katja by names. But everyone were equally awesome, I love you guys, you're the ones that made this awesome ♥

And the concert started with iconcrash as a warmer-up band. They were actually quite good, I was amazed! And the guitarrist was really hot(lol). I'm sorry I didn't really get nice pictures from the gig, I was already all shaky and partying like hell!

Then, finally, the moment we'd all been waiting for. MCR stepped on the stage and everyone were screaming so loud that I was glad I had earplugs(that fell off about in the middle of the concert). Notice double-mikey!! :---D

Friday before the concert I went for some coffee with Allu. Of course, we went to our favorite place Bossaliina(as always). There was a fantasy/sci-fi reading night, so people read out loud stories from some really awesome books. It was great.

We tried to plan our Puistorock gig, but with no luck. It ended up being some silent writing conversation while someone was reading a story :''D

We ended up ordering two cookies, two cups of flavoured latte and two lemonades. It was so good, and will be repeated again tomorrow + Tauno :---D
